Family Physiotherapy Centre also provides male urinary incontinance programmes, pediatric physiotherapy, fatigue management programmes and work rehabilitation.

Our facility is located on the second floor of a medical centre. We have over 2200 square feet of space with a large gym and 6 large private offices. Large windows are located in every room. We have the latest exercise equipment, work hardening equipment and therapeutic modalities at our disposal.
Our Gym Area
Family Physiotherapy Centre is a private physiotherapy owned practice. Our services are covered mostly through extended or work health plans, WSIB (Worker's Safety & Insurance Board, formerly known as Workers' Compensation), motor vehicle accident insurance plans or by self-pay. We can direct bill several extended health care plans. If you are injured at work and are claiming WSIB, you do not have to wait until approval. You can start Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Acupuncture. We will bill WSIB directly when approved. If the claim is denied, we will not charge the client. We want the focus to be on rehabilitation and recovery from your injury without the worry if the claim will be denied. Call or Email us for more details....
Private Offices for Assessments and Treatments
Family Physiotherapy Centre ensures that each client receives quality care and is given sufficient time during each treatment to help maximize recovery.
Private offices are an excellent choice for clients wishing to have some discretion when being treated. Individual counseling and treatments in a private office with our professional team is guaranteed at our facility.
Splinting Room/Computerized Biomechanical Foot Analysis/Functional Capacity Evaluations
Family Physiotherapy Centre can design a splint that is rigid or flexible. The splint can be custom designed to protect, immbolize, or restrict motion. The purpose of splints are to increase function, prevent deformity, correct deformity, substitute for lost motion, protect healing structures, maintain range of motion, stabilze joints, restrict mothion, allow tissue grouwth, improve muscle balance, control inflammation, protect normal structures, allow early motion, aid in fracture alignment, decrease pain, aid in wound healing, transmit muscular forces, rest joints, strengthen weak muscles, influence spasticity and resolve tendon tightness. Custom splints are covered by most insurance plans, WSIB and if in a motor vehicle accident through your MVA insurance plan.
Looking for orthotics? Our trained physiotherapists will perform a full biomechanical assessment, gathering pertinent information. A foot casting will be done using impression foam. We then use a GaitScan™ System to further gather valuable data in developing the best custom orthotic for you.Our GaitScan™ System is a revolutionary diagnostic tool for assessing your biomechanics. GaitScan™ has an industry high 4096 sensors and scans at an industry high 300Hz (scans per second). These measurements provide us with a sophisticated explanation of your foot mechanics and assists the orthotic group with orthotic and/or shoe solutions.
Family Physiotherapy Centre has teamed up with Workwell Systems (WS) to provide a comprehensive Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE). This is a physical test that measures an injured worker's abilities. In the WS FCE, workers perform various activities that simulate on-the-job work. Those activities can then be matched to the specific tasks of a certain job. The WS FCE combines the highest level of safety with objective findings and, when necessary, significantly aids in developing an effective return-to-work program for injured workers.
